With efforts primarily focused in rural areas, the Missouri Innovation Corporation understands how important it is to support entrepreneurs in their efforts, and also to support communities in their efforts to create an ecosystem that will attract, retain, and advance small businessesSmall businesses are the primary job creators in rural Missouri as 95% of businesses have 50 employees or less. At this year's Regional Entrepreneurship and Leaders Conference (REAL15), the MIC recognized three entrepreneurs who took that all important step in the last year to start their own business and create jobs in rural Southeast Missouri.
